Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Freshmate! This guide will help you get started in just 5 minutes.

Step 1: Complete Your Profile

After signing up, make sure to:

• Verify your email address
• Complete your profile information
• Set your timezone and preferences

Step 2: Add Your First Storage Location

Navigate to Settings → Locations and add your first storage location:

• Click "Add Location"
• Enter a name (e.g., "Kitchen Fridge")
• Select the location type
• Save

Step 3: Add Your First Item

Go to Inventory → Add Item and enter:

• Item name
• Quantity and unit
• Expiry date
• Storage location
• Category (optional)

Step 4: Set Up Notifications

Enable expiry notifications in Settings → Notifications:

• Choose when to be notified (3, 7, or 14 days before expiry)
• Select notification channels (email, SMS, push)
• Save your preferences

Step 5: Explore Features

• View your dashboard for an overview
• Check the analytics page for insights
• Browse the blog for tips on reducing waste
